Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY - June 7, 2025

Day 2 got off to a rocky—or better yet, stormy—start.. Doors, originally scheduled  to open at 11:45am, were pushed to 4:30 pm due to bad weather in the area. Eager fans who had been waiting to bolt to the Olivia Rodrigo barricade were left waiting in the rain, and understandably, most were not too thrilled.

Still, despite the setback, the energy bounced back quickly. Once the gates opened, the rain couldn’t stop the excitement. Day 2 proved to be just as memorable—because not even a storm can kill the Gov Ball vibe.

At exactly 9:30 PM, the stage lights went down and high-pitched screams erupted across the park as Olivia Rodrigo opened with “Obsessed.” She came out with her pop-punk edge and true fiery intensity delivering a powerhouse set. With a mix of energetic and powerful sounds to a few songs acoustically, she showed her true music range. Her raw vocals captivated fans and she also made sure to note how her bestie, Conan Gray, took the stage just before her! Fans were screaming so loud to each song, feeling every emotion along with Olivia and it was incredible to witness.

Midway through the set, she stunned the crowd by bringing out music legend David Byrne for a lively rendition of the Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House,” complete with funky choreography across the stage. Just as fans thought the night was over, fire lit the stage for her iconic encore of, “Brutal”, “All-American Bitch,” “get him back!” and ending the night with the anthem, “Get him back!” Olivia is a true pop icon who made a big statement for her and her career that left the audience in pure awe.

Despite the stormy start, day 2 was another day of memorable and unforgettable performances and not even a little rain could dim the gov ball energy!
